A lot of hard work went into planning this year's Boscastle Regatta. Sometimes though, the weather, the calendar and a little bit of fate have other ideas.

With several regattas postponed because of the heat and others already taking place on the same weekend, we swapped race day for something a little different... and what a day it turned out to be. 💙

Torrent and Jan Rogers headed out onto our beautiful home waters for a social row, where we were lucky enough to spot puffins along the way. Calm seas, great company, plenty of laughter and a reminder of just how fortunate we are to row where we do.

Back on shore, everyone brought something to share for a harbour picnic before the day naturally finished where so many good rowing days do... at the Cobweb with a few cheeky pints and some well-earned cheesy chips. 🍻🧀🍟

Our regatta will be back. But this Saturday was a lovely reminder that while we all enjoy racing, some of the very best club days are simply about getting on the water, spending time together and making memories.

Now that's a Saturday well spent. 💙
